Jon Tarry

Jon Tarry has been working in sculpture exhibiting and generating projects constantly. Engaging in projects concerning spatial phenomena. Recent shows include; ‘Reasonable Dreams’, at d’Architecture Gallery Paris, curated by AP Architects Malta, 2013 – ‘Face to Face’, Curtin Gallery PIAF 2016, curated by Margaret Moore, ‘Facture’, Solo Show at the Los Angeles Centre for Digital Art, Curated by Rex Bruce, 2017. Datum A at the WA Art Collective, Perth. curated by AP Architects Malta. Commissioned works exceeding 70 and include; ‘Sky Shard’, Attorney General Office, Canberra, 2011. ‘Convergence’, Perth Stadium and ‘Waterline’, Yagan Square Perth, and others.

Tarry is known for innovative work across time-based media platforms that include decades long record of substantial projects in music and visual art. Recent highlights include complex performances that combine music, film with gallery installations and large-scale performances on main stages at international music and arts festivals. These include; ‘Dark Mirror White Noise’, at Perth International Arts Festival 2016, ‘Thamesin’, at Noizemachin 23 London 2019. As well as multiple solo shows in Perth and Los Angeles, Jon has worked with luminaries of contemporary rock and experimental jazz music scene.
