The Architecture of Melancholy: Ruins

Originally from Greece Katerina Athanasopoulou (1974) lives and works in London. In 2013 Katerina Athanasopoulou won for her animation Apodemy the Lumen Prize, the most respected prize awarded for the best digitally created work.

For the presentation at Project Space Tilburg, the film was expanded with two new chapters. The newly created trilogy premieres on December 11, 2015 in a monumental video installation. Besides the multi-channel video-installation, the show comprises the works Broken Cage (2015) and The Violet Hour (2014) (with permission of the London College of Fashion).
